Statement of Faith

We Believe:

The Bible, both Old and New Testaments, is inspired by God, inerrant, infallible, and the final authority for all believers, in all matters of faith and practice (II Timothy 3:16,17).

There is one God, eternal in existence, creator of all, perfect, Holy, manifest in three distinct persons, who are co-eternal, co-identical in nature, co-equal in power, executing distinct but harmonious offices in the great work of redemption (Matthew 3:16,17).

Jesus Christ is the Son of God, eternal in His existence.  He was born of a virgin, lived a perfect and sinless life while on earth.  He gave his life as the substitutional sacrifice for the sins of mankind.  He was raised bodily from the grave, and ascended into Heaven, where He is seated on the right hand of God the Father, making intercession for believers. He will one day return and receive the church, His bride, to Himself (John 1:1, John 1:14, II Corinthians 5:21, Acts 1:6-11, I Thesalonians 4:16&17).

The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Godhead and therefore equal with the Father and the Son.  He guides believers in all truth, convicts mankind of sin, intercedes for believers, indwells believers, and distributes spiritual gifts to the body of Christ for the perfection of the Saints and the work of the ministry (John 16:8&13, Romans 8:9&26, Ephesians 4:7-16).

God created mankind in His own image and in a state of innocence, but by personal disobedience to God, mankind became sinful, incurring not only physical death, but spiritual death which is separation from God (I Corinthians 15:22).

Salvation is only found in the Lord Jesus Christ.  That man receives salvation by grace, through faith and not by works, and that salvation is the free gift of God (John 14:6, Ephesians 2:8&9, Romans 6:23).

Heaven and Hell to be literal places.  Heaven is the eternal reward of the believing church and the place where the presence of God abides.  Hell is the place of eternal punishment for Satan, the fallen angels, and those that have not accepted the gift of Salvation through Jesus Christ (Luke 16:22-24).
